Three songwriting and performing legends, Pierce Pettis, Pat Terry and John Austin, are all being brought together for a "Songwriters in the Round" concert in Elgin, Illinois on Saturday night, November 14, 2009.
Between the three, their songs have been recorded by Joan Baez, Susan Ashton, Dar Williams, Garth Brooks, Art Garfunkel, Travis Tritt, Tanya Tucker, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, John Anderson, Sammy Kershaw, The Gaither Vocal Band, B.J. Thomas, and The Oak Ridge Boys.
They have collaborated with artists such as Mark Heard, Shawn Mullins, Buddy Miller, Better Than Ezra, Vigilantes of Love, John Mayer Band, The BoDeans, Steve Winwood Band, Sugarland, Train and The Innocence Mission.
The showcase starts at 7:30pm in The Auditorium Theater at Westridge Community Church in Elgin, Illinois. Local Chicago songwriter Jeremiah Higgins will be opening with a couple of his tunes. Tickets purchased online are $16.00 / Tickets at the door are $20.00.
